Large two room front-facer, oddly large given it’s in the backstreets. No life in the right side, all punters were in the left and were much earthier than the nearby Black Horse. An ill-advised khaki colour paint job inside, though the old quarry tile flooring is retained. Surprisingly impressive rear garden. Darts, pool and sports TVs. At the bar, a plethora of pumps with a middling Pedigree being the only cask (NBSS 2.5). Cobs available for £2.70. Disappointing overall but I suppose this one struggles to compete with a couple of its impressive neighbours so has taken the path of least resistance.
