This is the second micropub by the owner of the original Itchy Pig at Broomhill, which dates to 2016. Originally a joiner by trade, and this one also shows signs of his handiwork. I was pleased to note that an effort has been made to provide some sound baffling in the form of padding in sacks affixed to the walls above head height. The accumulation of noise and condensation is a major fault in the original pub, and I hope success here will encourage improvements there. This small shop unit has quite a low ceiling, and has some seating in the window. The bar has six hand pumps, with one cider and five real ales, of which four were pale. Not feeling in the mood for Brass Castle Bad Kitty, the only dark beer, I went for Wiper & True Kaleidoscope, but I should have known it would be "not to my taste"! Nevertheless, I could well find myself back here some time, as it's quite easy to get to on the bus.
