As described below, it certainly has the feel of a micro, helped by the medieval architecture and historic atmosphere, but the absence of real ale or cider persists. The landlord was friendly and welcoming, patient even with one tedious local who continually bombarded him with inane comments intended to entertain his long-suffering family who were also present. The landlord was also knowledgable and passionate about his business. The beer choices were From Above by Track (a new brewery to me), plus 4 from Left Handed Giant – You Are Here, Slumbering Infinity, Italo Pils and Sun Systems. It’s well worth a visit and a definite for inclusion in a City crawl.

Self described as a micropub but keg only plus bottles and cans from a couple of fridges, so I guess it's a craft bar albeit with a micropub feel aided by the characterful wonky interior. The small bar servery is at the rear with just five wall mounted taps behind, the choices were Azvex Magnificent Tree Frog,Rivington Better Believe, Burnt Mill Big Sur Moon, Omnipollo Prize Pils and Track / Fidens Maiden, the abvs were generally upper strength. It's a small space with two or three tables and not a bad place for a craft beer fan, I'd return.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Wolfe & Castle

Micro-pub sized craft beer bar in the 'wonky house', and apart from the lack of real ale and the light shed by four fridges full of intriguing bottles and cans, the atmosphere is much the same. Five keg taps on the bar-back behind the miniscule counter, offering interesting beers in a range of styles. However, I had a 'heads up' about a small amount of the 12.5% Original Sin from Lervig being available, and really enjoyed my hyper-expensive but knock-out flavoursome share (£9.00, half).
