Visited in February on a midweek afternoon. 8 out of 10 hand pulls were in active service, all offering Dunham and Lymm ales. My Dunham Real Craft Americana set me back £2.40 for a half, which was OK if nothing special.
A few people dotted about around 1:30pm on my Thursday visit but it's a fairly big place so felt quieter than it really was.
The gents' toilets were immaculate and well proportioned.
I enjoyed my visit to the Altrincham venue more than here, but that could have been influenced by the beer I had on the day. Nice place and worth 8/10 from me.

Large open plan bar in modern unit. Set out for social drinking but a nice bar with good beer

Brainy Pool left this review about Costello's Bar
surprisingly dark and gloomy bar on Warrington’s modern market square operated by Dunham Massey. For real ale it has to be up there with anywhere else in town, 7 on including a 7% Belgian style ale. As I was driving I went for the dark mild! Inside absolutely rammed early on a Saturday afternoon with a real mix- families with kids, CAMRA old boys, a wedding party. I couldn’t really take to it so moved outside. Worth a look for the beer, it’s clearly popular for a reason, but it’s not really my cup of tea.

Modern bar in the new complex, opposite the main entrance for Warrington Market. Long rectangular interior with a pretty industrial feel (ducts, bare filament bulbs etc) but nicely done, no horror shows of bare concrete or plaster but it does get fairly gloomy at the far end, Spoons-style. Bar is also at the far end, sporting seven cask over 10 sticks with almost all of them from Durham Massey brewery. Grabbed halves of their Porter (NBSS 3.5) and Winter Warmer (3) which went down the hatch easily enough. Not my bag as a venue but more personable than I expected and I’d be happy to do it again, combined with the Hop Emporium a few yards over the way.
