Will Larter left this review about Hallam Community Sports Bar
This is the bar in the club house of Hallam FC, one of the oldest football clubs in the world, situated at the oldest football ground in the world. The bar is open on match days, when spectators are allowed to take their drinks out to the seating or standing areas - drinks containers are therefore not made of glass! (Admission is £5 for adults, £3 for concessions.) The bar is also open on non-match days (no entrance fee), and can be hired for functions. One hand pump, serving a very well presented Ringwood Fortyniner on my visit today, plus around seven or eight keg fonts with Guinness, a couple of ciders and Estrella, Shipyard and one or two others. An overspill bar with cans of beer, cider and soft drinks also operates on match days.
Football memorabilia such as the world's oldest trophy and signed shirts from Gordon Banks and Geoff Hurst are on display (the latter two in the gents' toilets). Probably of interest only to locals, including Owls and Blades fans on their days off, plus football ground tickers. (The football ground occupies part of the cricket ground, and I assume the bar is also open in the summer and during cricket matches, but best to check if making a special effort to get here.)
