Visited back in August on a weekday lunchtime, and I was the first customer through the door. At the bar, three of the four hand pulls were on - at that time offering Marble Manchester Bitter, Neptune Mosaic and Beartown Nimrod. The Nimrod set me back £2.20 or £2.30 for a half, so very reasonable, and was pulled through and clearly in decent nick. The guy serving, presumably the owner, knows his stuff and is happy to talk you through the available ales. Service was friendly.
There are 10 keg taps, including three ciders.
Wi-Fi is advertised.
There are four tables inside, plus some seating at the bar and a drinking ledge, so I imagine this can fill up pretty quickly of an evening. It looked like there may have been a back room, but I didn't investigate so not sure if this just leads to the toilets or contains additional seating.

Previously the House of Hops this is a very neat micropub just off the main road through Swinton. A small serving counter has three handpums whilst a number of keg taps are on the wall. Loads of bottles and cans in the fridges.I bought a pint and started chatting to the friendly owner behind the bar. A few minutes later a very friendly local joined us and we had a long meandering chat about beer and the places we'd worked. Somewhere along the way I had another (different) pint and the barman broke open a packet of scratchings that we all shared. As time was rolling on and I had a train to catch I just had a half of the third beer which was Marble Manchester Bitter. This was very well kept and is one of my favourite beers. But I thought it was third of the three beers I tried. So excellent beers, friendy onwer and local, what's not to like? Scores a very rare 10. I'll call back soon to confirm how good it is.

The House of Hops is a small micropub with a bar counter in the left rear corner that faces four tables. There are ten craft keg products on the back bar. More seating can be found at the rear, but I didn’t investigate. There was some background music playing during my recent late midweek afternoon visit, sounded like a local band. The service was very friendly and I enjoyed my half, but be aware that this place doesn’t open for long with the doors opening in the afternoon before closing early evening.
