Blue Scrumpy left this review about Elusive Tap Room

Fairly typical brewery taproom located on a large industrial estate. Tables on the left as you enter are located next to 4 different retro video game consoles. There are other tables on the other side of the room with a raised area holding another table. As the previous reviewer guesses, there are indeed a fair number of tables located outside in the summer months and when we arrived on a summer lunchtime, all other customers were seated outside.

The bar itself is located against the rear wall. There is a small screen on the bar displaying the beers currently on tap. Alternatively, there are also hard copies of the beer list on each table. Whilst there was a handpull, this was unclipped, leaving a number of craft beers - Easy Mode, Bayside, Together In The Light, Alone In The Dark, One Trick Pony, Two Trick Pony & Double Midnight Oregon Trail. Supposedly, these are all Key Keg beers and classed by CAMRA as real ale. As such, the tap room find itself in the Good Beer Guide.

In addition to the draft beers, there is a fridge to the right-hand side of the bar containing mainly cans of beers and a few ciders. Spirits can also be found behind the bar.

A number of people had arrived for a tour of the brewery whilst we were there. Being "Canadian Day", there was also a Canadian-themed food truck in the parking area outside selling tater tots and the like. A band also appeared mid-afternoon.

The Siren tap room is just across the estate, but Elusive feels a much less commercialised place and beers are more reasonably priced here.

Moby Duck left this review about Elusive Tap Room

A small Tap Room next to Elusives brewery and handily just over the road from Siren Crafts Tap Room, so makes for a great double header. It is small and inside and there were only five tables with either four or two chairs each, maybe there is some outside seating in the carpark to the front in summer months. The equally small bar has one handpump ,not in use on my visit =, and seven or eight keg taps, four in use on my Christmas Eve visit, all from Elusive, there is also a fridge with a selection of craft beers and Lagers to either take away or drink on the premises. The beer is good and with Siren over the road worth the trip, there is a bus to and from Reading that stops nearby if you're planning on making full use of the facilitys.
Normally only open on Fridays and Saturdays so best to check the website for times.
