Bucking Fastard left this review about Black Isle Bar

A modern bar situated in an old building which has had many uses ,including at some stage a chapel. The interior has a long bar to the left, refectory and long high tables opposite with a square area to the left infront of the open pizza kitchen and below a large mezzanine seating area. The kitchen was turning out quality pizze with lots of local ingredients ,well worth £13 if you are hungry.
The bar sported three real ales from Black Isle on my trips Red Kite (NBSS 4),Yellowhammer (NBSS 4) and Goldfinch while on keg are 16 indie beers from Black Isle including a sparkling cider. These options are oftern well up the ABV scale and I had an outstanding third of Send in the Heavies ,9.2% Imperial Scotch ale and a very decent Spider Monkey 5.2% American IPA .There are a further 16 whiskies and 20 gins and other spirits.
The bar is at the end of the West Highland Way,so walkers will use it,it's also popular with the young and there is an upbeat, lively atmosphere with very engaging bar staff.
A must visit in Fort William.
