Quinno _ left this review about Duke of York

Trad pub at the far end of the High St. Beware that the road-facing doors are locked, use the side door. A sideways H shape interior with pub carpet, dark varnished wood and bar and the same awful yellow colour I saw at Spoons (was some local character flogging it on the cheap a few months ago?). Darts and sports TV available. Of note was the Black Book of incidents, which was being discussed (‘Gareth’ the latest entry, and I can see why he got barred). GBG’23 listed with two Dartmoor brewery beers on over three pumps, IPA (NBSS 3) and Jail (3.5). There’s a basic cobbled beer garden out back. Not bad, and pretty good in the context of this classically weird Devon town.
