Strongers . left this review about Bundobust Brewery Taproom

Bundobust Brewery Taproom is currently one of two of this chain’s vegetarian Indian street food restaurants and beer halls in Manchester. Steps from the entrance lead to rows of long tables that were mostly full during a recent Monday afternoon visit, mainly with larger groups of people which this place is ideal for. The serving counter runs along the rear wall where lots of craft keg is available alongside two hand pumps that were drawing Sqwark’s Mallard and Thornbridge’s Galaxy & Simcoe. It’s a strange place with amazing smelling curry, decent beer, the Mallard was good, and then brewery equipment like you’d find on an outlying industrial estate. Odd, but it certainly seems popular so good luck to them.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Bundobust Brewery Taproom

Second outlet for this mini-chain serving craft beer and vegetarian Indian street food. The main hall has high canteen-style tables, the bar at the far end and shiny brewing vessels along the right-hand wall; all under an atrium. A further dining area and a few more stainless steel tanks can be found up a couple of steps to the left. Features a diverse range of their own beers, collaborations and guests from a total of 16 taps, plus a handpump on each side of the two hooped founts. After some thought, I went for one of the cask options, Track's Sonoma (£4.20).

Quite an interesting location surrounded by much larger buildings. This ground floor taproom had a large glass atrium roof, lots of exposed pipes and ducting and hanging industrial lamps. The service was excellent on our visit and there was a good range of 16 keg beers. The majority of which were brewed on the premises by Bundobust, plus two cask ales. We went for the Track Brewery Sonoma and at £4.20 a pint in the middle of Manchester, I thought it was reasonable.

Very similar to their other venues, except this one has several stainless steel conditioning tanks along one wall as it's also the home of the brewery.

We were just calling in for a drink, but they rushed over with menus before we could even get to the bar. A large keg range available along with Track Sonoma and Bundobust Dark Mild on the two handpumps. My pint of the mild was in good nick and pretty well brewed as well. Happily call in here again.

Good range of beers here and a pleasant atmosphere but I did find the clientele and staff exceedingly middle class and trendy. More of a crafty bar mid afternoon but a few were dining on the veggie Indian scran. Two cask ales plus a load of keg stuff in varying styles, right up to an 11% chocolate orange stout.

This was the second of the Bundobust branches I've tried. I did attempt to get into the Leeds one in 2021, but to no avail, as there were no tables available in the immediate period after one of the Plague stoppages.

Walking through what appears to be a shopping arcade, you pass the brewery itself on the left-hand side before entering the bar proper. The room was busy with primarily families enjoying the Indian vegetarian food. However, as with the Liverpool branch, this one also serves a good range of craft beers alongside a couple of cask ales.

Their own Nut Brown beer was available on cask, alongside Cloudwater Zappa In Your Heart. The keg range consisted of Bundobust Peela, Dhania, Pilsner, Chaitro, Manak, Aadu & East Is East, Hogan's Imli Cider, North/Bundobust Mango & Lime Sour, Northern Monk/Bundobust Delhi Dazzler, Sureshot/Bundobust Inflatable Lifesize Replica, Deya Solar Powered Device & Verdant Even Sharks Need Water.

The food always smells tempting and the toilets are unisex. I find these places to be an interesting concept and the beers are generally on good form.

Visited on 11.8.22 after trying their Piccadilly bar. Similar set up with a couple of cask ales and a good selection of craft. We chose cask Scarb from Ossett brewery, and as we had had the other cask in their other bar, opted for craft Chaitro from their own brewery. Both went down well.

Paid a quick visit yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon before my train home. The bar is dominated by two keg fonts with 16 keg taps split across the two. There are also two hand pulls for cask ale, one of which was in operation at the time of my visit. This solitary cask ale was Daytime Hourglass by Track. Badged as an English bitter, but it's certainly not a traditional bitter and was rather pale with grassy notes. Pleasant enough. This set me back £2 for a half pint and payment is by card only.

Inside there are five tanks of their own beer brewing, plus another four in the external entrance/courtyard area. Next time I visit I will be sure to try some of their own beers.

The seating area is dominated by several large canteen style banqueting tables, though there are smaller tables to the side. There was also an additional room off to the side, just in front of the bar, though I didn't investigate this.
