Comedy Coventry City theme pub housed in ‘a blue painted box plastered with murals’ and to be fair they’ve made a pretty job of the décor both inside and out, including some old seats from Highfield Road. Table football and TV football available as you’d expect. No cask (inevitably) but a pair of local brewery Dhillons on keg caught the eye – mine was pretty meh but that was a brewer thing not a pub thing. Worth a look for something a bit unusual. 5.5

Will Larter left this review about Sky Blue Tavern
This was a fairly random last minute addition to our otherwise fairly staid pub research trip. I'm not saying we'd been concentrating on serious beer scoring, but for the final pub of the day we just went for it, dicing with the traffic on the dual carriageway as if we didn't care any more. A half of an underwhelming lager from local Dhillons Brewery, called Ghost Town (with a hint of The Selector in the black and white design on the keg font lens not really making up for its unenterprising flavour). This is a sports bar, with table football and rows of seats facing a screen for any Coventry City fans who have neglected to purchase a ticket - this doesn't mean they show live games. I imagine it's replays, such as their unlucky defeat to Luton Town in the play-offs at Wembley in 2023. It was quiet enough on a Wednesday afternoon before the season has really started. Not sure I'm likely to return.

Housed in a blue painted box plastered with murals and pictures of supporters in the stands there’s no confusion that the Sky Blue Tavern is a Coventry City supporters pub. The entrance leads past a flight of stairs to the left (didn’t venture up) to the serving counter on the left-hand wall. Standard and premium keg were available alongside Neck Oil, there are no longer any hand pumps. Being the second pub of a long day I asked for half a Carling and was served a pint, but at £2.50 I couldn’t really grumble. As expected there are lots of old signs on the walls from the ground as well as posters and seating from the terraces. Rows of high tables are found to the right and there are booths found throughout, all with little televisions to accompanying the larger screens that were airing football match replays from yesteryear. I spotted a couple of table football tables and there was some background music from the 90s playing. There’s a pub grub and curry menu, but the kitchen looked closed during my recent midweek afternoon visit. I thought it was OK in here for what it is and I bet it’s great on matchdays if you’re a Coventry fan.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Sky Blue Tavern
Sports bar dedicated to all things Coventry City, with various seating / dining areas, numerous TV screens (incongruously showing golf when I visited), a couple of table-football tables, etc. What caught my eye, though, was the signage for the local Dhillon's Brewery, and I found their Bight Eyes GPA (£3.50) on handpump and several craft beers on the keg taps. It was quiet when I visited late afternoon on a stormy day, but the barman was friendly, and there was some excellent background music.
