Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Friargate Tap Room
Craft beer bar of micro-pub proportions but more modern in appearance than most. Snooker on one large TV but no other distractions. Disappointingly, just one of the three handpumps was working, dispensing Hawkshead Bitter (£1.80, half, and hazy, but tasted OK). However, beware: didn't open until 14:00 on a Friday despite the door signage and social media claiming noon.

A fairly featureless box with TV's. A tap room it is not. There are 3 handpumps, only one available which was Hawkshead Bitter, which turned out to be the rare vinegar version. Luckily I managed to contact the rest of the crawl and told them to avoid this place. Definitely a pub that can't be trusted. Won't be bothering again.

A modern style bar with wallmounted TVs and loud music - don’t expect a micropub here. two interesting ales on as far as I could see, but I couldn’t taste either because it was closed on a Saturday for a private function. A pub that can’t be trusted, I probably won’t bother again.
