Blue Scrumpy left this review about Piggy Bank
The Piggy Bank Micropub was just about the highlight of my Wiltshire visit. Whilst more of a bar than a micropub, I quite liked the atmosphere in here and the beer and cider range was good.
The pub is houses in a former bank. The main room has a high ceiling. You can also sit in the adjacent bank vault which is in two small sections, including an inner vault. The main room has an impressive tiled fireplace near the entrance (can't say I've ever noticed one of those in a bank before). Walls are painted red and sport artwork which is for sale. There are also plenty of small pigs scattered around the bar, on shelves and doorframes and on top of the vault door.
Music was playing, which may not please micropub purists. It is also dog friendly. Pavement seating outside seemed popular with plastic glasses in use if seated there.
Beers are listed on Untappd with a screen above the bar. There is one solitary handpull. As the taproom for Stealth Brew Co, the cask ale was Tiptoe. Craft beers dispensed from the rear wall were Stealth Covert, Agent Super, Roman Pavement, Huggermuggery & Agent Nectaron, Vault City Freaky, Electric Bear Quasi & Azvex Shiva Scream. Traditional ciders from Somerset are also available. These were fetched from a cool room to the rear of the bar and were Iford Windfall, New Tradition & Somerset Sahara & Lilley's, Rhubarb Cider & Peach Cider.
I thought this bar made a nice and refreshing change from the traditional pubs I visited throughout Wiltshire. With multiple ciders and the best craft beer range I saw, along with a buzzing atmosphere, I'd happily head back here the next time I venture to Calne.

Sort-of micro in - surprise! - part of an old bank. Appears to be a tap for Stealth Brew as they dominated the tap selection. Inside is an oblong room done in red and white with a mish-mash of seating options presumably claimed from seconds and wholesale. There's also two bijou rooms via the old bank vault (door intact!) which makes for an interesting place to sit. Music veered from Supertramp to AC/DC. Less porcine ephemera than anticipated, just a small collection of piggybanks at the bar. Whilst we're there, it was a single cask of Stealth Tip Toe which was in decent nick (NBSS 3.5) and I also went for one of the kegs, Stealth Muggermuggery. Notably friendly service from the lady behind the jump. Downside was that both my glasses were covered with baked-on limescale - bin the dishwasher.
