Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Tap Social @ Lock29
Tap for the Kidlington-based social enterprise brewery with other outlets including the Market Tap in Oxford. Housed in the rather spartan Lock 29 food stall and events space part of the dismal Castle Quay development, so devoid of atmosphere when only a limited number of customers about. Two sadly disused handpumps, but ten taps for craft keg beers on the bar-back - eight of their own (including the Cell Count American pale ale, £5.60), a collaboration with Orbit and Bleeding Hearts Numbskulls as a guest.

ORIGINAL REVIEW August 2021
An offshoot from the Tap Social Movement in Oxford and featuring their craft beers, this is part of a street food hub in a large building of a modern shopping centre but with views over the Oxford Canal.
UPDATE
As it's part of the Castle Quays shopping centre hours are limited to the centres opening times which means a 6pm closure apart from 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The keg range has expanded with 5 permanent Tap Social beers and 5 guests kegs. The two handpumps on the bar stand felourn and are more for decoration. The seating is mixed with an alcove to the right of the rear bar with sofas and comfy seats while elsewhere are more functional oblong tables which will also be occupied by folk who buy food from the variety of kiosks around the periphery of the space.
The beers are mainly pales and IPA's while on my trip two guests were stouts but there will be some high ABV options and the friendly barman will offer advice and tasters. My Bone Machine NEIPA was 7% and discounted to £5.50 which in my book is value. It was superb.
Maybe best appreciated as a lunchtime venue with some street food,a welcome addition to the Banbury drinking scene .I will use it again.

As described by BF below and handy for narrowboaters, this long bar offers 10 keg taps with mainly pale ales and IPAs although a cider, two lagers, a stout and a low-alcoholic offering were also available.
