A pleasant, welcoming micro-like new pub in a former shop premises. It has many of the features and feel of a micro, but given that it serves hot food and their prices are very high I’m not sure it meets the ethos of a micro. The seating arrangement is part-micro standard benches, though there were several more comfortable chairs. The main bar is on the ground floor, while there is a smaller seating area upstairs which we didn’t explore. Food is pizzas, freshly cooked on site. There was one ale on draft, Traktion IPA, plus a bank of 12 craft beers, all more expensive than they need to be – these are listed on a large TV screen. There is a section of New World wines and a decent range of spirits. It’s a modern bar, very welcoming and pleasant, and high prices notwithstanding I’d be happy to come back and spend time here.
