A quite small taproom attached to The Outhouse Micro-brewery, the place was about half full with seven customers including myself, all middle aged and upwards. Eight taps on the wall behind the barwith a range of craft beers including a couple of their own. I tried a half of Outhouse Joker which to my taste wasn't quite right, looking at Quinnos comment below I wonder if this is a thing, however I decided to stay for another half avoiding their own stuff this time, going for a Kent Southern Cross which was actually very good. This place offers the town something a little different and would give it another go, but at the same time be a little wary of the homebrew.

After various stints as various trendy things after the trendy-for-Wokingham Buzz ceased in 2007, the unit has now inevitably become a microbrewpub. The interior is very compact due to reduced space caused by the brewing kit. It is fitted out in a comfortable but industrial style and seating is beside the brewing vessels. There are eight keg taps; changing guest draft beers are available from local breweries in Euro Kegs and Key Kegs. We decided to go for flights of the homebrew which, unfortunately, lived-up to that word in the main. I was also mildly astonished to be charged 12 quid for the privilege of the obsequious barman decanting six thirds. I suspect this will be my one and only visit.

Trendy, trendy wine bar opposite the Gig House. For a yuppie pub it's actually pretty good. The interior is quite tasteful and the prices are reasonable given its market. No real ales of course but a pint of Staropramen was alright as an alternative. I think I remember fishtanks being in the walls as well. Rated 4
