We didn't have high hopes for this micro when we passed the place earlier on our crawl, having a quick look through the windows when it was closed. Visiting later it actually turned out to be in our top three good pubs in Scarborough, which also includes Scholars and the Stumble Inn.
The interior had blue painted walls with illustrations of hops here and there, parquet floor and a handsome collection of various beers in cans from five large chill cabinets near the front bar. 14 keg lines with a choice of four from Vault City, which was amazing and the barmaid also gave me a few tasters before purchase.
There was also four handpumps West Riding Brewery Rum and Raisin Dark Mild, Theakston Hairy Bikers, Little Critters C-Monster and Roosters Easy Going Assassin.

A new micro on one of Scarborough main roads. As it's an old shop it's pretty much a square box with very large windows at the front. Half a dozen standard tables with banquette seating on one side and chairs on the other. 4 handpumps with a decent selection of beers on them. We called in for a pint on both days of our visit to Scarborough and all the beers we tried were in good nick. It doesn't feel like a place for a session, but we'll definitely call back again.

An obvious shop conversion with a back room containing the lavs. Laser display screen showing the beers; four pulls and ten keg taps on the back wall, purple walls and arty pictures. Big shelf of bottles and cans and shelves of spirits. Family friendly with the odd wandering kid. Disabled toilet is in name only as it’s accessible only up or down some steps - daft. Very shaky dog hiding around the counter furnishings as you’d expect otherwise a fairly good place to drink for able bodied adults. Well other than the piped music I suppose.
