paulof horsham left this review about The Lugger Inn
The Lugger is primarily a hotel, with bar for diners and, I suppose, drinkers. Outside there's plenty of tables with a sea view (albeit over the road) while inside they've gone heavily with the nautical theme. An abundance of tables emphasises that this is very much a restaurant with a bar. On that bar you will find a couple from Sharp's: Doom Bar, which is apparently also available in Cornwall, as well as a seasonal - Solar Wave this time around and as underwhelming as the big seller. Keg taps offer Rattler cider, Atlantic Pale and the likes of Guinness and Carling.
The food menu is extensive, with an emphasis on Anglo-Italian, though seafood also features, as you'd probably expect.
The downside is that the service, while friendly, is rather hit-and-miss: a familiar tale these days - seemingly insufficient staff for the buzzing trade on offer, so there was a fair old wait for my pint.
Maybe I was just unlucky, but I don't feel compelled to return.
