Strongers . left this review about Shelter Hall
There’s lots of beachside seating outside Shelter Hall that was very busy on a recent sunny Saturday afternoon visit, in fact there were ‘bouncers’ at the entrance employing a one-in-one-out policy. Inside there’s rows of seating along the curved front of the building under a mezzanine with more seating and highly sort after balconies with great views across the beach and out to sea. Up the centre of the large building are rows of long tables that are flanked by lots of small food businesses on stalls that runs up the side walls to a serving counter across the rear. It was table service ordered using a QR code and a phone, so I didn’t get to visit the bar where mainstream craft and premium keg products were available. A pint of San Miguel and half a coke was knocking on a tenner so it’s not cheap. The service was very quick, the day before I’d queued twice as long for service at the Spoons in Hailsham. There was some background music, I could hear a double bass, but the noise from chattering drowned this out. This place is too big, loud and expensive for me, but they’re coining it in so most must like it.
