Bar + block is a chain steakhouse and bar where the large left-hand side of the venue is for dining, but there is a small bar area to the right of the entrance where a serving counter faces some large high tables with stools. Premium keg was available alongside Neck Oil and I was the only customer on a recent Thursday afternoon. There was some non-descript dance music in the background, and I must mention that the barman was very friendly. I suppose this could be described as a trendy Beefeater, and as such it isn’t somewhere I’d go just for a beer again.
