Small long bar under the Birmingham Arena (not sure of the Arena's official name this week). Its home to their brewery and has a small kitchen. Its probably their best bar, its small and long but just enough away from the now overcrowded city scene to be more comfortable and relaxing for a drink but easily walkable. The terrace on the Arena/canal walkway is small but an absolute sun trap and nice to watch the boats and people. Good choice of keg beers but pricey.

Seem to be taking over town - with another location at Waterloo Street.
This is in an odd place and I cannot imagine its going to get the footfall, next to the Lego shop. Saturday afternoon and we were the only punters in.
brewing vessels to the right, a wall with hand painted pop stars to the left. A man making burgers in a little kitchen at the front. At the back of the long thin room is the bar, with TV screens detailing whats on offer. I went for their Rose Garden Saison. Decent.
Maybe it gets busier at night.

Well described below there was a similar choice of beers on when I called. I went for the 4.5% Kiwis On A Kite which was excellent. Well worth a visit and I will call again.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Sommar Brewery
Brewery and tap located under the Utilita Arena, with the brewing vessels located to the right of a narrow rectangular unit and the seating at the front and to the left. The bar is located at the far end, with 18 of 21 craft keg taps in use when I visited. Eleven of these were in-house brews, and along with the guests, almost beer style is catered for. I went for the Rose Garden saison (£5.85), but almost everything was tempting. I should also add that I had a really interesting conversation with one of the managers / brewers, making this one of my best pub stops in recent times.
