Flat-roofed multi-sports complex with three bars, serving three rooms (one room is called the 'Norris Room'). I was the only punter here at around 5pm on a Sunday afternoon, but the friendly barlady informed that it was bingo later on, plus they'd had the meat raffle earlier on, and I wondered whether I was experiencing a Bold Street, Liverpool-style timeslip, until I was charged £4 for my pint and a card reader thrust under my nose. Doom Bar on a second handle with a third unclipped and the Loddon was in decent nick. Reminiscent of many 60s and 70s-style sports clubs (I had one in my village until it was razed and replaced a few years back) and I have to say I quite enjoyed this tick, although I can't see myself setting foot back in here unless it's for a sports-related reason.
