Bucking Fastard left this review about The Twisted Oak

The village of Ide was brutally split in two in the 60's building of the A30 and associated new roads,so if visiting from the Poachers and Huntsman you have to traverse the pedestrian bridge with curly ramps. The pub is large with a vast carpark and the feel of a holiday camp bar.The main room has a sunken pool table and darts board, there is a raised section opposite the bar with dining style tables, the servery is in three sections, ale to the left, kegs in the middle, carvery to the right which thankfully was non operational on my friday afternoon visit.Beyond this is a large conservatory used mainly by diners, the pub grub was being knocked out at quite a pace.
Children were milling about rather than eating, while the ale choice was Sharp's Doom Bar and Exeter Avocet (NBSS Good). You may as well crawl the three pubs in Ide but this was the weakest of the trio.
