Bucking Fastard left this review about Long Haul

A small micro in a former shop unit, there are tables and chairs outside, three high tables to the interior left and three lower level tables to the right with the small bar at the end.Down a corridor are the loos. The landlady is friendly, chatty and keeps order and directed me to sit with two gents using a four person table, kind given it was pelting outside.
There were three cask ales drawn from stillage in Kent Old Jamaica Toffee Stout,Three Acres Session and Kent Green Giant ,a 6% green hopped IPA (NBSS 4). Keg options were Wiper & True Kaleidoscope and Ansbach & Hobday London Black .Overall some interesting beers fully jusifying the GBG 2025 listing.
I liked this friendly micro, dogs welcome, lively with a constant rotation of both ales and customers.Make sure you pop in if passing by.

Blue Scrumpy left this review about Long Haul

Micropub situated in a parade of shops some way out of Bexleyheath town centre. Apparently it was a tattoo parlour the last time I was in this neck of the woods visiting the nearby Yacht in April 2019. It opened as a micropub in 2020.

There are very few surprises inside. It's a single square room with a bar and toilets at the far end. Blackboards at the bar listed the cask ales and a craft beer. The cask ale selection was Titanic Plum Porter, No Frills Joe Ernest & Fyne Ales Jarl. It was only when I sat down that I noticed a separate blackboard on the right-hand side of the entrance door, that listed real ciders. Turner's Medium & Rhubarb Cider, Biddenden Dry, Dudda's Tun Apricot Cider & Lilley's Rum Cider were on offer. Whilst my Ernest was a decent beer, I'd have probably chosen a cider, if I'd noticed it early enough.

The owner is a very friendly lady and there was just one other customer, also female. It made a pleasant change to be outnumbered by women in a pub! Both were keen to chat.

There is a large area set aside for outdoor drinking at the front, which could certainly swell the numbers if needed. Although, I'm not sure about the shiny black chairs!

I do like a micropub and this one is better than average.
