Visited in January on a weekday afternoon. Four hand pulls at the bar, representing Beartown, Peerless and Stonehouse (x2) breweries. My half of Stonehouse Dark Force was decent, and set me back £2, so no complaints on the ale front, though the service didn't feel especially friendly. The atmosphere perhaps not helped by two older gents at the bar chatting to the barman, with all of the effing and blinding.
This micro pub has bare brick walls, and a glass front that presumably opens up. There is comfortable bench seating to the left and right sides, with tables and chairs. Higher stools opposite the bar with a drinking shelf. Looks like there may be a room to the rear, not investigated.
Happy to have tried it but no rush to return.

This is the third and most recent of the Bow-Legged Beagle chain. It was also my third branch of the chain to visit.
Situated near to Bromborough Cross in a shopping area, this had the feel of a decent locals' boozer, despite being a micropub. Unlike the Upton branch where I'd just come from, the Bromborough pub was very busy with what I believe was an all-male clientele.
The 4 real ales here were Kirkby Lonsdale Pennine Amber, Salopian Mixed Metaphor, Big Hand Appaloosa & Brimstage Trapper's Hat. There were also a couple of real ciders from Dee Cider - Richard's Dry & Medium. Craft beers were Carnival Carmen, Unbarred Mango Pale, Glen Affric Highland Suntan, Polly's Bleur Orion, Left-Handed Giant Simcoe & Sultana, Wander Beyond Wolfsbane & Staggeringly Good Dippa. Lilley's Pineapple Cider was also available on keg.
My Mixed Metaphor was very enjoyable indeed and was easily my favourite beer of the day in Merseyside. Whilst I didn't have long to spend here, I really warmed to this place, which was also my favourite new discovery of the day.

This micropub was formerly a Butcher's shop and as Al Bundy mentions below, this is the third Bow Legged Beagle to open on the Wirral. There were four handpumps on the bar serving Big Bog Brewery Hinky Punk, Liverpool Brewing Bier Head, Salopian Raising Tides and Peerless Oatmeal Stout. I initially went for the Hinky Punk, which easily passed the three pint test followed by the Salopian. The barman was very knowledgeable about the beer and the locals were all friendly and chatty.

Third pub for the boys behind the ones in New Brighton and Upton. Probably the smallest of the 3 this one consists of a central bar with a seating to the left, right and a thin area to the front of the bar. 4 handpulls on the bar plus 8 keg taps along the wall behind the bar. Bare brick decor and a chiller opposite the bar for canned craft beers. By far the best pub in the immediate area.
