This is an old riverside coaching inn that despite having opened as early as 1998 is much more pub like than many of their outlets. Although it has been knocked through it consists of a number of joined areas with the bar roughly in the middle of it all. There are lots of wooden beams everywhere and the whole place looks genuinely old.
It's not that large for a JDW so there are just two banks of four hand pumps. One had the JDW Trio of Doom and the rest were all Locale being Salcombe Devon Amber, Quantock Will's Neck & Rale Head and Cotleigh Lest We Forget. I went for the Devon Amber (£2.05) which was very good.
I though this was a better than average Spoons.
