David Walton left this review about Joyce

Visited 26/11/25. Visited previously 18/12/21.

No cask. Keg offering from taps on the white tiled wall behind the bar counter and comprising a couple of ciders (a collab with Ross-on-Wye called Joy is Having Another at a vertiginous 8.4% and the Nightingale Wild Disco at a relatively pedestrian 5.5%), some lagers (the Lost & Grounded Keller Pils, the Burnt Mill Helles and the AF Wiper & True Tomorrow), pales (a Villages collab called Bumps Golden Ale, the Kernel Table Beer and the Beak Parade) then the London Black from Anspach & Hobday and a sour cherry Biere de Saison from the Kernel.

Very pleasant and classy small shop fronted bar with the bar counter against the left-hand wall in the front part of the venue. Regular tables and chairs in the front window and down the right-hand wall and some comfy armchairs around an un-used fire grate opposite a drinking ledge before a step down into a rear room with regular tables and chairs. Very nice lighting and very festive with a large pot of mulled wine brewing and warm white fairy lights and garlands cross crossing the rear room. Thought this was a decent small craft beer destination to include in a crawl of the postcode area.
