This time 100% of SE28 pubs in one visit. There is a real dearth of venues in this neck of the woods. Had expected some modern venue, but this was another traditional, if somewhat larger venue. Thoroughly decked out for the Euro’s with the warm yellow stock of Xmas lights utterly filling the venue. The venue is dominated by the large bar area with tables and chairs filling the area around it. Not surprising given the name there was a nautical theme to the place.

No cask beer. Similar offering to the last venue absent the Harvey’s. On offer were lagers (Cruz, Carlsberg, Stella, Fosters, Madri, Peroni, Moretti), ciders (Strongbow), with the interesting stuff being John Smiths, Guinness and GK IPA. Definitely not what you would describe as a cask or craft mecca.

This definitely also had a darting focus with a corned off area and lots of trophies and awards presumably won by a competitive pub darts team! Nothing much here on the beer front but definitely a lively and interesting venue that I doubt I will return to but definitely glad to be and have been here.
