Old Boots left this review about Round Corner Brewery & Taproom

Located in part of Melton Mowbray’s cattle market among other artisanal enterprises the taproom is at the front of the actual brewery. The drystone built counter is to the right and seating is at the usual fold up forms and tables, in this case they have padded the forms so much more comfy than most. There is a drinking shelf with stools along the left hand wall and a couple of old casks as tables with stools. No cask available from the two hand pumps on my visit, I suspect it’s only on at the weekend and I visited on a Wednesday, seven of their beers in keg format were pouring as they say in these places. To the left of the door is a fridge of their beers in cans. There’s a couple of screens, for major sporting or national events I guess and what little decor is mainly auction mart signs and a collection of model farmyard beasts and kit. Toilets are in a separate building across one of the internal roadways, also check opening hours on Facebook, they vary.

As it’s a working brewery you drink in an atmosphere of malty and hoppy scents, the noise of beer containers being shifted and the enjoyment of being at the source.
These places aren’t for everyone especially the raw ones like here but I liked it.

Located in the cattle market a short stroll out of the town centre. Better than the usual tap room effort with padded bench seating. Sadly only one cask on a Saturday afternoon - Bicycle Thief - which, despite the barmaid's best efforts, came out well (NBSS 3.5). Six others on the keg wall.

Blue Scrumpy left this review about Round Corner Brewery & Taproom

The last time I came to Melton Mowbray, this place was closed. It only opens on Friday evening, all day Saturday and on Sundays of bank holiday weekends. Situated next to the town's market, I'm surprised it does not open when the market runs on a Tuesday and a Friday during the daytime.

The bar consists of bench seating with the brewing equipment to the rear and the bar itself to the right-hand side of the entrance. There was one handpull on the corner of the bar dispensing their Cornerstone Pale Ale. Keg taps behind the bar had Frisby, Steeplechae, Beneath The Streets, Drovers, Follow The Green Line, Jandals & Togs & Reverend Hooker.

A decent addition to the Melton drinking scene, it would be great if it kept longer opening hours.

Worth seeking out - slightly out of town, in the centre of the cavernous livestock market.

So much room, where you can sit outside/inside (there is a roof and exposed sides) or you can get a bit more of a pubby experience inside the brewery. Long bar, with several gins, and a chance to look at the spotless silver vats and brewing equipment.

Like everywhere in Melton, incredibly friendly people.

Imperial Barrel aged Black Lager worth a try!
