New build dining pub with adjoining hotel, secreted in a commercial park off the A1 (follow signs for Services). The bar is in a large L-shaped open plan room, perhaps a bit more tastefully done out than some, and has a nice buzz to it, despite the occasional squalling infant. There is a large tabled area outside and a children's play section. Draught ales were Doombar and Farne Island Ale, which was in good nick. Not the first choice for a drinking session but a good refreshment stop and I have been to many worse pubs.
