Modern micro which has had some reconfiguration from its previous guise as a Nat West bank and is tight and snakey with three distinct areas. There is a Vault in the lower servery - ho ho – and an interesting liwer servery configuration. Nice atmosphere. Six cask of the mainly small brewery variety, a small selection of craftykeg and a few ciders. My Bass was fair (NBSS 3) and aficionados will enjoy the display of old Bass clips. Excellent value rolls or ‘soft cobs’ if you prefer. Sister pub to the Pestle and Mortar in Hinckley. 7.5
