Old Boots left this review about The Whistle Stop
A micro on the station's platform 1, a square room about 20 foot each side. Access is from both outside and the platform and as Grantham has no ticket barriers you could go in one side and out the other for your train, one of the several hectoring signs does say don’t use it as a cut through. The counter takes up the length of the left hand wall and the other sides have banquette seating with round tables and cafe style metal chairs. Another table takes up the centre of the room but there’s plenty standing room, there’s a few bar stools as well. There are three pulls on the counter, a chilly slightly flat red rye beer from 8 Sails and a house beer origin unknown, the third not in use. Keg tastes are catered for on two quad T-Bars and three solos. Decor obviously is railway porn but not a huge amount. You should note there are no toilets, you need to use the station’s facilities.

Family run micro, with the conversion to a bar described in a photo album resting on the bar.The room is square with access to both Platform 1 and the station carpark,a modern brick fireplace dominates one wall ,while the high ceiling gives a feeling of space. The furniture is mainly bench seating with round tables, while on the platform there are many external seats. It appears that it opens daily at noon or possibly earlier, closes at 8pm during the week and 10pm on Friday and Saturday. It has a community pub vibe, although as yet no loo,you have to use the station convenience.
Besides pasties and sausage rolls there are three handpumps serving on my trip Zest Whistle Stop,Galaxy (NBSS 3.5) and Beer Mats Matte Black .A well thoughout Locale offering across three beer styles. There are some standard keg lagers. There are plans to enlarge the pub by knocking through into the next door vacant space and this would include a loo and allow some live music.
A good place to start or end a real ale crawl of Grantham, well done to the family who had the energy to create this micro.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Whistle Stop Micro Pub
Newish micro-pub at the far end of the station buildings on platform 1, and with no ticket gates here, access is freely available from both sides. Although (by definition) small, it has quite a spacious feel because the ceiling is about as high as the square room is broad. With two of the three handpumps in use, both real ales - the 'house' beer (£3.40) and Blond Volupta - came from the local Zest (formerly Oldershaw) Brewery.

One room. Bar to the right as you enter from the station itself. Two hand pumps, one reasonably strong, the rest keg.
