The Lantern’s Protection is a small L-shaped laminate floored bar with high tables opposite the counter across the front floor to ceiling windows and small tables up the right-hand wall. The cask ale has gone so the draught options were premium keg alongside Neck Oil. I got the feeling that the public-school staff use this as an extension of their own living rooms because they were all loudly chatting about their dramas for the duration of my visit, and one couple came in and got ignored at the bar for a couple of minutes before deciding to cut their losses and leave, still unnoticed.

This is a smallish one roomed bar with 12 beer taps including various craft beers. There were 2 cask pumps on my Friday visit but only 1 functioning

This is a 'crepe' restaurant/bar. Über trendy you can buy crepes, flugees and other assorted bumpf. There are 5 taps on the wall for crafty nonsense and Belgian beers are available. Mostly a foodie place so unless you're eating there is no real reason to visit.
