David Walton left this review about Munich Cricket Club
Visited 26/05/26. Visited previously 30/07/20.
No cask obviously. The keg range was their own Clubhaus session lager and the AF version, Lowenbrau, the Paulaner Hefe Weissbier, Munchener Hell, the Dunkel and the Hefe Dunkel, the Hacker Pschorr Keller and then the Alfrik's Apfelwein.
Large terrace out front on West India Quay, occupied by almost everyone here tonight on a stunning hot evening. Inside the venue is bare boarded with the bar counter along the left had wall immediately inside the venue. German beerhall bench type seating with the kitchen at the rear of the venue. There is a downstairs activity area advertising Bier Pong but was closed for a private function on my visit. Quite a bit of Bavarian Bier Hall decoration, no screens but the music was a letdown for the venue being a bunch of 70's and 80's hits, all rather nice but was expecting a deluge of Bavarian music rather than Barry White and Wham. The Munich Cricket Club venues have survived well in London compared to a number of other Bavarian drinking hall venues that have come and gone before and after pandemic!
