Old Boots left this review about Loafers
A cafe bar with the emphasis almost entirely on cafe, it serves very nice coffee and cakes and has decent service. One side has racks of vinyl records which has made a comeback although I don’t remember paying £25-£38 for an album in the olden days, opening hours are a bit limited. The bar part is now a pop up bar outside run by Vocation with eight keg taps mostly of Vocation beers. Lovely surroundings of the Piece Hall but not a pub and hardly a bar to be honest.

as a pub? obviously not, but as a cafe bar definitely. lots of coffee, vinyl records to buy or play and a couple of keg beer taps for anyone concerned about that kind of thing. The music selection was good and i enjoyed the friendly, if somewhat hip atmosphere here.
