A former grand country house, now an hotel with a bar open to non-residents. The food is good, not cheap though. Staff are friendly,helpful and welcoming, the grounds are very pleasant, though sadly now set against a backdrop of an industrial park with lots of traffic noise in the background at busy times. The original house has been extended to include a conservatory housing the dining room, and a brick annex with additional facilities. Sadly there’s no real ale in the bar, just a solitary craft pump. Worth staying here for the high quality B&B, OK for an evening drinking wine but not really a proper pub.
