Another new bar (and smokehouse) opposite and opened around the same time as the Tipsy Mercer. The downstairs is mainly a bar area with bar against the right-hand wall and wooden booth seating to the left. A "Library Restaurant" is located towards the rear and to the right. Despite four handpumps (2 x banks of two) - one had a TT Landlord clip semi-reversed. A half of keg Maltsmiths IPA was £2.20. National keg favourites meant this place was little more "locally" than Tipsy Mercer. It shows its newness with the fact that the toilets were still in a "work to do" state although my female companion was impressed with the hair straighteners in the Ladies.
