E TA left this review about Bar 5
Previously half of the Loder’s delicatessen, which in turn used to be a butcher’s shop. The other half, Number 7, is still a deli and owned by the same person. The single room shares toilets with the deli. There’s no garden, just a couple of old chairs at the front to sit on while smoking. There is a basic bar in the corner, and the walls are clad with untreated chipboard. Ales are from barrels behind the bar and on this occasion were QBCZ and Saxon Gold from Quantock, Redshift from Yeovil and Cheddar’s Crown and Glory. There was also a perry and a few cocktails on offer. The landlord was friendly enough, but the locals were not that welcoming, and it has more the feel of a backstreet local than a micro. Nonetheless it’s a great addition to Crewkerne’s ale scene and worth a visit. Be aware though, opening times are a bit unpredictable; they’re often not open even during published hours.
