Lovely old exterior and interior with the bar at the front and more seating at the rear. A must visit if in the area.

As others have said, this is a tremendous micropub. As many as 10 beers on the bar counter or on the rack behind. Bristol Beer Factory Milk Stout and Phoenix Wobbly Bob are on all the time - unless it gets drunk dry by the regulars. My half of Uley Pigs Ear 5% was in very good condition (NBSS 4). I'll definitely be back.

In fact, after that quick afternoon visit, I was back again the same evening and had three more halves, all in very good condition. Rating improved from 8 to 9.

Perfect litle micro pub, that I was so impressed with, I was googling travelodge prices whilst waiting for a storm to pass over. £30 in December. I think I will come back, so much to explore in this interesting town.

Two roomed, ales balanced on the bar and gravity fed. A large collection of ciders and perries.

Bulding itself a black and white timbered beauty.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Cross House Tavern

Excellent micro-pub in the right-hand half of one of the town's many fine old black-and-white timbered buildings. Just one table (and a few stools) in the compact bar area at the front, plus a couple more in the smaller rear rooms. Five interesting beers of varying strengths from jacketed casks on a rustic stillage on the bar-back, plus another - Three Tuns XXX (£4.00) - from one of three more casks perched on the counter. With a friendly welcome, this one is well worth seeking out.

Great little micropub with a good choice of beers served from the barrels behind the bar. Fyne ales Jarl, Enville Ginger, Goff's White Knight, Jaipur, White Rat plus a couple more when I called in. Also a selection of Ciders and Perry's. Well worth a visit.
