For a standard shop conversion micropub, having six real ales on is good going. The six were: Brightwater Coal Porter; Park Brewery Tread Lightly; Wimbledon Copper Leaf; Oakham Citra; Thornbridge Lord Marples; and Signal Absolutely Fuggled. Prices ranged from £3.70 a pint for the 3.2% Tread Lightly, to £4.60 for the Oakham Citra. All are served from stillage at the back of the room. As I was in before 3.0 PM on a Monday I qualified for the discount price of £3 a pint. It seems they don't do food, but I spotted a sign outside saying you could bring in food from outside.
The previous reviewer has pretty much nailed the description. No extraneous distractions of course, and I appreciated that furnishings are standard tables and chairs. It's easily the best place for beer in Ewell. There were no other customers during my early afternoon visit, and I suspect they may switch to opening later if footfall doesn't justify opening at lunchtime. But it's definitely worth a visit if you like the micropub concept.

Typical micropub in a shop conversion, perhaps less industrial than some as walls are painted in shades of grey and plum, the ceiling is tiled rather than covered in ducts and there is no upcycled scaffolding. Although still fairly spartan, it has proper furniture with a few tables and chairs and some stools round the reasonably large bar which houses a stillage of casks and a beer fridge, with a couple of craft on keg also. Draught beer range at time of visit was Stardust Optic, Cotleigh Dragonslayer, Tring Colley's Dog, Kent Mosiac, Lakehouse Amber and Hook Norton Hooky, plus a couple of ciders, and prices are good for the area. In true micropub spirit there are no extraneous entertainments or distractions. Opening hours presently: 12.00-21.00 Mon-Weds; 12.00-23.00 Thurs-Sat; 12.00-17.00 Sun.
