Real Ale Ray left this review about Mamil

This is one of those venues, trying to be all things to all people. Food served all day, coffees, teas, cakes, sandwiches, wines, the list goes on. This place was busy on our Saturday morning visit mainly with families and people with dogs. The bar area was positioned over on the right and was quite dark in decor and lighting, service was quick and we had a choice of two ales from Vocation, Bread and Butter & Heart and Soul. The prices for cask were reasonable, just didn't take to the place, especially when two dogs kicked off barking, I was gone.

Old Boots left this review about Mamil

Long thin bar on side of the navigation, and also reached from the street behind with the very Yorkshire name of Owler Ings Road. It was mostly full of dining families when I popped in although a few cyclists were ranged outside soaking up the spring sunshine by the canal. A lot of the beers are from Vocation and are served by the boil in the bag method so as well as being icy they’re a bit fizzy. Bare floors, bicycles on the wall, it’s different and not unpleasant. Recycled kegs as urinals and sink. The name means “Middle Aged Men In Lycra”.
