Strongers . left this review about The New Port Arms
The New Port Arms is a small bar with a large paved seating area out the front with waterside views onto the harbour and over the Adur to Shoreham Power Station. The entrance opens onto a wooden floored interior with a black and white tiled bar counter that runs centrally across the rear wall. To the right a large circular table with chairs sits under a television that was off, my visit being not long after midday on a recent Tuesday. In the slightly larger left-hand side are five smaller tables, all of which look as though they’ve been reclaimed, I think a couple may have been old school tables. A weekly Wednesday quiz was advertised and there was some background music playing that was more to the young barmaid’s taste than mine. Premium keg is supported and both of the hand pumps stood unused. I had actually popped in to grab some lunch, but the chef was running late so I left with an empty stomach. This is a tidy little bar, but it’s not worth going out of the way for. Note that it closes at 20:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Sundays.
