The original Steamworks bar in Seaford offers considerably more interesting beer choices than the recently opened outlet in Glynde. I found 4 local cask ales (Three Acre, Only With Love and Long Man), with the first of these also providing a keg ale alongside the usual lagers.
There's quite a few tables crammed into the small room, with warmth provided by a wood burner, so it's all very cosy and a fine place to wait for a train.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Steamworks
Station café and bar with an almost micro-pub size / alehouse-style look in the seating and compact counter areas (separated by a chimney pillar). The main entrance is from the station approach, but there is also a less obvious door onto Platform 2 (although there is no Platform 1 these days!). All beers - many local - served from ten taps on the bar-back, so it's not immediately obvious that three of these serve cask ales by gravity: Harvest Moon green hop amber from 360°, Dark Star American Pale Ale and Fuller's ESB. However, I went for the Goblin single-hop green beer made from Harlequin by Only with Love (£4.50).

Stripped back bare boards and brick, presumably part of the former station building. Open from the road and to the platform. Nicely laid out, chunky tables, fire place, well kept real ales and friendly service. Makes a great waiting room.

Originally visited on 22/09/2021 and revisited tonight as a result of delayed train back to Lewes. This is a a lovely small station station bar, indeed I can’t think of a better example of this type of venue.
On my quick visit there didn’t seem to be any cask options but plenty of decent local craft beer options. Probably a 5 on that basis for current basis but was v impressed on previous visit so giving the benefit of the doubt as a 6. Independent of that I can’t think of many station places where I have had to wait for a delayed train that offers any decent quaffing options so this is a luxury on that view almost independent of the beer choices.

Steamworks is a café bar located in Seaford Railway Station, which is at the end of a short branch line from Lewes. The entrance opens onto a wooden floored seating area with views onto the platform through two large windows in the rear wall. A fire place to the left splits this seating from the bar area to the left where a serving counter runs along the left-hand wall. The back bar supports three hand pumps and seven keg fonts. Dark Star APA, Hopback Brewery’s Summer Lightening and Directors were the cask options available alongside a premium keg range as well as Wensleydale Brewery’s High Fives IPA. Being a station bar that opens at 6am there is obviously a hot drinks menu. There is a door to the platform, but this was locked during my recent Monday evening visit, and I’m not sure if it is ever open. A live duet was advertised for a Friday evening in a few weeks’ time, so live entertainment isn’t a regular occurrence. I thought the wooden fixtures and fittings along with the few bits of tat on the walls gave this bar some character, but alas the barmaid was far from welcoming, which was a shame. That said, I would pop back in if passing.

Steamworks is a classy little cafe/bar at Seaford Station. Along with coffee and an excellent cake selection, you'll find 5 cask and 5 keg beers (including a cider and a couple of pilseners), all local from the likes of Langham, Bedlam & Holler. Well worth missing a train for, should you find yourself in this town.
