Still very much a locals' pub, though we were tolerated and our dogs were welcomed by some of the regulars. The staff were summoned by a bell as described below, though it took a while for the sullen teenager masquerading as a barman reluctantly to break off from his conversation at the front of the pub to come and serve us. That said, he expertly poured our pints which were in good condition. As before, Branoc and Tribute were the cask choices, complemented by a keg range of Guinness, 1664, Carling, Carlsberg, Thatcher's Gold and Haze, and San Miguel. The front bar is long and carpeted, has exposed ceiling timbers, and it includes a large TV screen over a 1970s fireplace. The end away from the bar counter is quite bright due to a large bow window, though sadly there is no real view to enjoy. The fireplace is complemented by a fish tank from the same period. The back of the building contains a restaurant area, and there is a tidy fenced garden behind, which enjoys the sort of views the bar probably once had before the houses opposite were built. The garden also contains a boules court, wooden benches and tables, and a children's play area. The restaurant, toilets and garden are reached through an entrance arch which suggests this was once a coaching inn. It was quite an average pub overall, but given that it's the last proper pub in Seaton outside the town centre, I imagine it will get quite busy at peak periods.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Kings Arms
Locals pub on what was once the main road to Colyford, now much quieter outside but still serving the housing away from the seafront. Homely, traditional interior with some unusual carved wooden panels on the front of the bar. Bell to ring for service. Waiting for that, I noted Tribute and the much more local Branoc from Branscombe (£4.30) available from two of the three handpumps on the counter.
