Part of the Loungers chain, Navarro Lounge is located firmly in student territory so I wasn’t surprised to find myself as one of the older customers during a recent Monday early evening visit. As usual, the walls are busy with framed art, there’s a mix of colourful furniture and the wood floor looks like it has been reclaimed from an old school gym. I’ve actually seen this floor in a few places now, not just the Loungers chain, so it is a reproduction. Limited premium keg is available from the ever friendly Lounger staff. My visit happened upon ‘Cheeky Monday’ when a burger and pint of Cruzcampo were reduced to £15, which is excellent value for the area. I wouldn’t visit here just for a beer because there are some decent pubs a stone’s throw away, but as somewhere to eat where you know exactly what you’re going to get it ticks all the boxes.
