This is a new pub that opened in December 2018 utilising part of what was the Function Rooms nightclub (and Harry's before that). It has a decent new feel to it, and there is a snug area, a library area and a sports area with two pool tables, around the central bar area. There were a couple of handpumps but nothing of interest on when I visited. Under the same ownership I sense that it may not shed it's old Function Rooms reputation, but it's interesting that a nightclub has morphed into a more traditional pub. It is located in the far corner of Market Square opposite the new micropub Monks Inn, which is really where you should be going if you are seeking ale.
