Strongers . left this review about Hopsters
Previously the Secret Distillery, the entrance to Hopsters is through a wooden gate and up a fire escape, at the top of which I had to take a call which I think annoyed the guy living next door because I was right outside his bedroom window. Through the entrance are some high tables in the centre of a sparsely decorated room that feels like a works canteen. Some banquettes run across the front wall to the right and part-way up the right-hand wall. The serving counter is in the rear wall to the right where ten craft keg fonts, that are listed on a large drinks board, run across the back bar. I went for a pale that had a watermelon aftertaste, it wasn’t unpleasant, but it was typical of the crafty uprising. The young barmaid was very polite, but I was the only customer, and the background music was far too modern and off the wall for me. I think next time I fancy a half, and have £3 jangling in my pocket, I’ll go somewhere with some atmosphere that will hopefully give me some change.
