The Old Bike Store is an 8 tap keg-only micropub style venue, though done up more expensively than is typical with a smartly tiled floor and tables and chairs that all come from the same set. The pub extends a fair way back, though you can expect to sit in semi darkness the further you go, while there's a small fenced off area out the front with a couple of tables for smokers and traffic spotters.

Just after opening, the music was already set to comfortable. Prices are much as you'd expect from craft keg, but they've selected their pales, IPAs and stouts well, so I was happy to spend a while here, having timed my trip to Worthing around the 4pm opening.

Please note that cask conditioned ales are no longer available. Still a great bar to visit though.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Old Bike Store

Perhaps more of a mini-pub than a micro one because the narrow rectangular seating area extends some way back beyond the left-had-side counter, but the ethos obviously aligns. That said, the plain furniture and relative stark decor away from the themed front window won't appeal to all. Four real ales served on gravity from the cool room - Downlands Best, Langham Hip Hop (£4.00), Goldmark Microbus and Fyne Ales Jarl - plus eight craft beers from keg taps on the wall and five (presumably boxed) ciders. The nibbles offered on a Sunday is an unexpected traditional touch.

A shop conversion from an actual bike shop to what is a self proclaimed Micropub, It seemed a little upmarket and manufactured to adhere to my definitions as such but what was not in doubt was the beer quality, just two cask beers were on, both from Vibrant Forest and both spot on at a reasonable £4.00 a pint, up to four casks can be available along with up to eight craft keg offerings. A decent place with very good beer.

2 cask, but 8 keg micropub. Money has clearly been spent on the tiled back bar & floor, the room stretching a fair way back, but all this space was attracting just a couple of us on a Saturday lunchtime. The other punter was a curious local, so maybe there's hope for larger crowds in the future. As it was, the Langham ale was discounted to shift when I was in.

There's no shortage of micropubs in Worthing and its suburbs, but this one's worth a look-in if you're passing by.

Yet another new Worthing micro-pub, this one in, as you might have guessed, a former bike shop.

Opens from 2pm Tuesday - Thursday, from 12:00 Friday - Sunday
