Strongers . left this review about Manahatta
Manahatta is a large split level bar with an L-shaped serving counter in the right rear. I initially thought that I was going to be forking out again for a bottle of beer, but then the barperson pointed out the draught taps on the back bar. During a recent Tuesday evening visit, I was the only customer other than a few friends of the staff sat at the rear. There’s raised seating to the left and a partition wall separates seating in the front right from the main bar area. Stairs to the left of the entrance descend to the toilets and a room with a large high table surrounded by stools and another smaller room. I would never choose a place like this over a proper pub, but this place has some nice features and I found it quite comfortable. However, the monotonous background music was too much and I was glad to leave.

A typical example of the chain. Nicely decorated with lots of low sofas all around the place and high tables and chairs in the bar area. There's a restaurant area up to the left. Lift music being played quietly over the sound system, but that changes later at night. No real ale of course and a half of San Miguel was a rip off £2.80. Nope, not for me.
