A usual Micropub setup in a square shop conversion on Mapperley's increasingly vibrant high street. Inside its bench seating around the outside with central barrels/tables which don’t actually offer loads of seat space and the pub can fill up very quickly. Arrive early to avoid standing. With a blues music theme many guitars etc cover the walls and scheduled (and impromptu) live performances are a regular. Up until recently They had a account with Beartown supplying 2x beers and two guests across a number of styles. My Shiny 4wood Bitter was in good condition around the £4 mark.
Although I favour a more traditional setup this is a good addition to the Mapperley real ale scene and acts as a good Double Header with More Traditional Alehouse style Bread and Bitter Across the road.
